About Us

The Create Trust was set up in March 2005 when we were asked to run a series of creative education workshops in Sri Lanka, for tsunami affected children and young people. We worked with local and international NGOs in the south of the island, running programmes in refugee camps and helping to train teachers at the Ruhuna National College of Education.

In April 2006 we started working in Ethiopia, organising creative education programmes in Addis Ababa for street children and under 18 commercial sex workers. Since then we have run over 20 projects in the capital, worked with a number of Ethiopian organisations and established a firm commitment to the country. Click to read more about Ethiopia.

Create has also run projects in West Bengal in India and Ramallah, Nablus and Hailhul on the West Bank.

We currently have projects running and being developed in Addis Ababa and London. Click here to read more.

The Create Trust is a registered UK charity (number 1115157)

We are a small organisation, consisting of trustees, volunteers and a Director, all of whom work from home, keeping administrative costs to a minimum ensuring all funds are used directly to support projects.
