Mission Statement
We are committed to supporting disadvantaged children, young people and women, empowering individuals and groups to improve their lives through creative activity. This builds self-belief, engenders hope, develops imaginative skills and facilitates independent thinking.
Introduction
The Create Trust is a registered UK charity.
It was set up by Graham Peebles in March 2005, when he organised a series of educational creative workshops in Sri Lanka, for tsunami affected children and young people.
In April 2006 we were invited by a local NGO to run a creative educational programme in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This initial three-month programme established a firm commitment to Ethiopia where we are concentrating our work.
The Create Trust is a small charity and, as such our administrative costs are kept to a minimum and monies donated are used directly for our beneficiaries, a situation we aim to maintain as the organisation grows.
Fundamental to our work is a belief in the power of the creative process,to liberate, inspire and heal.
